Join us for an insightful city walk through the heart of Cape Town, exploring the city centre from District Six to the Bo-Kaap.

Designed as a meaningful introduction to Cape Town, this experience combines history, literature, architecture, food culture, and everyday life to help guests better understand the city beyond its surface.

Hosted in small intimate groups, the experience explores historically significant spaces, independent local businesses, and some of our favourite cultural and culinary stops within the CBD. Along the way, guests gain deeper insight into Cape Town’s layered identity, shaped by migration, colonialism, religion, food, resistance, creativity, and community.

Rather than focusing only on landmarks, the tour offers insight into the city’s identity through storytelling, literature, food culture, and conversations about place, memory, community, and urban life.

The experience begins and ends at historically significant locations and includes curated stops at selected independent businesses that reflect the diversity and complexity of contemporary Cape Town.

The tour includes water, coffee, and chocolate. Any additional food purchases along the way will be at your own expense.

  • The tour begins in District Six, moves through the city centre, and finishes atop Wale Street, covering approximately 3 km of walking.
